I had the chance to operate the Scania P280 for several weeks, and I'll share my thoughts. The vehicle's fuel efficiency impressed me. On average, I managed to gain better mileage compared to other trucks of its class. However, I noticed the controls weren't as intuitive as I expected for navigating traffic in challenging weather conditions.

Tried out the Scania P280 recently, and it’s a reliable truck for its intended purpose. The fuel economy caught my attention; managing better consumption than expected. Comfort-wise, the cab layout felt familiar and practical, though the lack of a Scania Retarder was noticeable. The brakes held up well, adding a sense of safety during city routes.

Drove the Scania P280 with its 7.0-litre engine, found its performance decent for urban and light regional loads. The new safety features, like the surround camera system, were quite helpful during tight spots. While power wasn’t outstanding, it matched the operations I encountered.

Honestly the Scania P280 gets the job done. I run city drops mostly, and the truck handles stop/go traffic ok but brakes sometimes feel grabby when empty. Air suspension is solid, smoothing out the rough bits, but there's still some rattle through the door trim at speed. Visibility is pretty good, mirrors do the trick for tight squeezes. Maintenance isn't too bad, but small electrical issues pop up from time to time, probably just old wiring. Fuel economy actually surprised me, could be worse for the size. Can't really complain, just don't expect miracles when it comes to hill climbs.

Recently got behind the wheel of the Scania P280 during a cross-country transport. The cab comfort is decent; seating adjustment and noise insulation contributed to a reasonable driving experience. The engine performance is satisfactory, yet I observed a slight lag during acceleration, which could be an area for improvement.
